Grant Sputore and Dave McDonnell have been working together for over 10 years, but The Commentary Cast is something new for the duo who are more used to their place “behind-the-scenes” when it comes to making stuff.
In his day-job, Grant is a director, whose debut feature I AM MOTHER premiered at the Sundance Film Festival before being acquired by Netflix.
Dave is a VFX supervisor and all-round problem solver (which was effectively his official title during the production of I AM MOTHER).
The pair’s simmering rage about the absence of commentaries in the streaming era boiled over to become this podcast.
